A calmer mind, more trust in yourself, more room to enjoy your life, and feeling closer to the people you love.

Culturally responsive & EMDR therapy for Asian American teens, adults and families navigating anxiety, people-pleasing, family pressure, and trauma. In person in Sunnyvale and online across California.

You keep up with school or work, answer the family group chat, show up when someone needs you, and handle what has to get done, but there’s still that nagging voice you’ve carried since childhood telling you you’re somehow falling short.

Someone’s tone is a little off, and now you’re thinking about it three days later, wondering if you did
something wrong.

Old criticism, family expectations, and emotional baggage have a way of sneaking into moments that should not feel this heavy.

Maybe you’re trying to figure out what you want while guilt, responsibility, and everyone else’s opinions keep pulling you in different directions.

You can be doing everything “right” and still not feel okay.

What can start to feel different with the right support.

Your mind feels quieter, and you spend less of your day worrying about what might happen or trying to figure out if you did something wrong.
When something hard does happen, you trust yourself to handle it, get through it, and keep living your life instead of feeling consumed by it.

You’re more present for the things that are already good, laughing with friends, enjoying dinner with family, taking the trip, or having a slow Saturday without your mind being somewhere else.

You can care deeply about the people you love while feeling more connected to who you are and what you want.

Therapy that makes room for all of you.

I started Nurture & Connect Therapy Center because I wanted therapy to make room for the whole person, where you come from, what you’ve been through, and the people you care about all shape what you’re carrying now.

As an Asian American therapist, I understand that “just say no” or “set a boundary” may not feel so simple when you also care deeply about family, respect, connection, and not disappointing the people you love.

I often think of myself as a translator between cultures and generations, so we can make room for where you come from and what you need now, without treating either one like the problem.

You can feel more grounded in who you are without having to disconnect from the people, values, or parts of your story that matter to you.

Sessions are available in both English and Vietnamese.
